Highway 1 Beach Camping

Campers may use the pay showers in the main campground of the park. Morro Strand is on CA Highway 1 near Hearst Castle. Its perfect for last-minute planners seeing as it offers first-come-first-served sites too.

Also known as US 101 traveling this highway is a fantastic way to experience the west coast. The beaches of Bahia Concepcin begin 12 mi 20 km south of Muleg the first being Playa Santispac. The entrance is in a hard-to-find spot on a dead end portion of the Old Highway 1 Road.

Campers can wander along the private sandy beach wade surf boogie board and play frisbee or take. Muleg and the Baha Concepcin beaches are all easily reached from Highway 1. With 135 shaded campsites this is a great place to stop of on Day 1 or 2 as you head north on Highway 1.

Campers park on the west side of Highway 1 and walk in to the campground approximately 14 mile across the Big Sur River on a seasonal wooden footbridge. Dogs are allowed at beaches 1 and 6. Westport Beach RV Park and Campground Mendocino County.

Small sand dunes separate their oceanside campgrounds from the beach. Nestled in a Monterrey pine forest and situated just east of Highway 1 Plaskett Creek Campground is a short walk away from the nearby Sand Dollar Beach and Jade Cove. With excellent facilities for picnicking this stretch enjoys a picturesque view of Morro Rock in the distance.

The hookup sites have full hookups 50 and 30 amps. There are 18 tent sites that literally back onto the ocean. The coastal highway winds its way from where it intersects with I-5 in Dana Point at the south.

The Morro Bay Strand lies 2 miles south of Cayucos on Highway 1. This is one of the few parks that you can still camp right on the beach. Fort Ross Campground Beach.

They have 12 tent sites and 15 RV spaces. California is one of the best beach destinations in the world and nothing says oceanside paradise for an RV traveler like Kirk Creek Campground. We walked for miles exploring the wide beautiful beach and celebrated each sunset with a campfire overlooking the water.

Small beach fires less than 30 across are permitted and you can collect up to an armload of driftwood. Morro Strand State Beach. Timber Cove Beach is at the Timber Cove Campground and Boat Landing about 14 miles north of Jenner in Sonoma.

From Highway 1 head west on Cass Street. Located some 17 miles north of Fort Bragg just off Shoreline Highway 1 this 50-acre privately-owned campground offers beach-side camping in the sand on grassy sites and along a creek.
